LSF was attributed the “Solar Impulse Efficient Solution” label following an assessment performed by external independent experts and based on verified standards. It is thereby joining the #1000 solutions challenge, an initiative by the Solar Impulse Foundation to select solutions that meet high standards in profitability and sustainability and present them to decision-makers to fast-track their implementation.  If you would like to know more about Solar Impulse Foundation and its endorsement of LSF please look here link.

LSF also recently won a Business-led COVID19 InnovateUK grant. This will allow us to complete 3 months of testing on various un-recycled plastics and validate our capability to produce broad range Naphtha to make new plastics and chemicals!

Update 2 - Low Sulphur Fuels Pilot Unit Success
LOW SULPHUR FUELS - ZOOM.png

We wanted to share a little positive news as we all attempt to navigate the Covid-19 upset.

LSF has successfully completed its InnovateUK project to deliver a Pilot Unit to demonstrate our Fast Electrochemical Process (FEP). InnovateUK said they were very impressed with our performance and congratulated LSF on achieving these excellent results in such a short time and below budget.

LSF continues to operate its Pilot Unit to process used oils, rubber tyres and plastics, to demonstrate its flexibility and ability to remove harmful contaminants whilst producing very low sulphur distillate and broad range Naphtha to ISO and Platts specifications. Initial testing by Intertek Caleb Brett has confirmed that we can meet these specifications.

If you would like to know more about our process or capabilities or have any questions please get in touch by using this email.

We are looking for partners who would like to test their feedstocks to produce a very low sulphur distillate fuel or broad range Naphtha industrial feedstock. If you are interested in partnering with us please reply to this email.

FEP Testing

LSF’s Fast Electrochemical Process (FEP) can process used oil and rubber tyres to produce a very low sulphur (0.1% S or better) distillate fuel to meet the ISO-8217 and other fuel specs as well as process a wide range of plastics to produce a broad range, high quality Naphtha.

Low Sulphur Fuels has been co-funded by an Innovate UK Grant

Low Sulphur Fuels recently completed an SEIS fundraising round and has been co-funded by a grant from UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK. This is supporting the commercialisation of our highly innovative technology for converting used hydrocarbons into lower sulphur diesel as well as converting hard, PVC, or similar difficult plastics into Naphtha.

The ordering of our Pilot Plant equipment has begun and the construction will begin imminently. The extensive testing programme is expected to begin Q3,19 using used oils, part refined oils, used tyres and used plastics.

We are excited about being one step closer to the deployment of our Fast Electrochemical Process (FEP) and our ability to actively support the transport industry and IMO-2020 by dramatically reducing Sulphur and NOx emissions through using LSF lower sulphur fuels.
